SoundOut Official Launch Party - Friday 20th April 2012
I got to the Lion's lair at 7:30 to see the rest of the guys on the committee blowing up balloons. All the screens had adverts of SoundOut on them - Well done Tom. We all had name badges showing our position in the committee.
8:00pm arrived and I was getting slightly nervous. Would anyone come? Then people started drifting in. I went and talked to the first guy who came in and asked him to join us.
By 8:30 there were, I think 23 people there. At least that's what Jonathan said. He kept a running count, shouting the number out excitedly as soon as someone else walked through the door and urging Robert to go and sell them a ticket for the raffle.

9:00pm, we'd all had a bit to drink and suddenly the pub was packed. I can't ever remember the Lion's Lair being so busy. That was the cue for the pizzas to be ordered, and they arrived at 10:00pm and the party was in full swing.
Around 11.00pm, William shouted out the winning raffle ticket numbers. The only down side to the night is I didn't win the signed calendar of Ben Cohen. Towards midnight one of the bar staff approached me and said he'd never had as friendly a group of people in there as we were. So a big thank you to everyone who came and thank you to everyone on the committee who worked so hard to make this a night to remember.
